Hello! I am Carlisle. I was found as a stray in SC. I was taken to a local humane society where I was hit with a double whammy - I was determined to be BLIND!! I have SARDS (Suddenly Aquired Retinal Degeneration Syndrome) meaning I will never see again due to the degeneration of the retina. I am very sweet, but a bit timid as it seems the blindness is still somewhat new. Then I was diagnosed with Heartworm. Fortunately a group called The Heartbeat Goes On stepped up and rescued me. They were able to treat me and I am now good as new! I traveled to Wisconsin Aug 20 and I am going to a foster home with Purr-fect Match Animal Rescue. I am looking for a home where I can live a normal dog life. Two things that are required are a fenced yard and another dog. I need a companion that I can follow and be the leader in the house. I am good with other dogs, cats and kids. I just need slow introductions as I cannot see them - only smell. A fenced yard is safest for me. Please give me a chance to be the best friend you always wanted!
Since Purr-fect Match is a foster based rescue, the best way to meet me is to fill out a non-binding application at our website - purrfectmatch.rescuegroups.org. My adoption fee is $200 plus tax.
