Bess gets her name because she was an escape artist when first brought in from a Trap/Neuter/Return site, and Bess is the name of Houdini's wife! She wouldn't stay in her crate until she could be tested to make sure she didn't have a disease. But now she is happy, sweet and loving.

Bess does love to play with her foster siblings. Saffron is the same age, and they have been together since they were really little. Where Saffron is outgoing, Bess is laid back. She still can give as good as she gets when they play, however! Bess also loves to hang out and play with foster sisters Anise (Neesi) and Carob. The four girls are quite close. You can see them playing in the following videos:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XeWt2ncL70U    At the beginning, Carob is playing with Saffron. Then you will see their older foster brother, Sundance watching them. Anise (Neesi) and Bess like the birdcage as they go by it. Then they run (you will hear Neesi).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WlClRj2FCGQ   Bess has a poofy tail in this one--she was very involved in playing! Then she will run down the hall with Neesi.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22wKPFuiMNU    At the beginning, you will see Saffron run up stairs and into the living room, then back out as Carob runs in. Neesi will come from behind a chair and you can hear her trill. Bess then follows Neesi out and stands looking around.

It is quite possible that Bess will be a lap cat when she is older. When she is not playing, she loves to be held and will purr to let her foster mom know. However, she IS a kitten and playing is first on her mind. Because she feels comfortable with her foster siblings, she could be adopted with one of them or a home with a buddy for her to play with would be considered.  She would not be a good "only" cat.
