Hi, I'm Kya. I was found as a stray in  South Carolina. I was taken to a shelter and they tested me and determined I have heartworms. I don't know what that means, but they put me in the back room. I don't see anyone.  No one comes in here. I can hear the dogs through the door barking and they are excited..but I don't see what's going on. Then one day,  I was taken out of my cage and put in a truck. It was a long ride and I was scared. Then we went to this building and it seemed nicer here. I heard I was getting treated for heartworms and then I could go to Wisconsin!!   Not sure where that is, but I hope they like me there!   Well, I am now heartworm free and my bags are packed and I'll be taking a long ride into the Frozen tundra...please watch for me as I'm ready to find a home!

UPDATE! I have arrived in WI on Dec 18 2016. I live in a foster home and I love other dogs!  I would love a home with another dog to play with.  I am also good with cats and kids. I do want to just play with the cats and I know that some cats dont like that.  If they run, I will chase them - but I wont hurt them.  I just want to play!   I am  housetrained, crate trained (but dont like to go in it!).  I walk good on a leash and listen well too. I do know how to sit, but will need some obedience training as I dont always listed to come or here.  I do like to run - after a bit I will come back - but I need regular exercise - that must be the border collie in me!   I am timid when we first meet, but after a bit, I do warm up to you.  I like to play with some toys, but mostly like to play with other dogs or be around my human.
