Hello!  My name is Layla. I was rescued from a very bad area of Alabama along with my 6 puppies.  My owner didn't want me anymore and threatened to kill me and my pups.  Thankfully a nice woman took us in.  I was taken to the vet and determined I was heart worm positive.  I received treatment, am now spayed and can travel to WI to find a forever home!  My pups have found forever homes, so now it is my turn!  I have been in a foster home in Alabama and have lived with other dogs and cats.  

I am a calm gal, not much interested in playing as far as chasing toys  but I do like chew tI will need work to break that, I'm very affectionate and loves to be petted. I could use some help on house training.  I am crate trained and keep that clean, but if I have more one -on-one time, I know I will get the house training down!   I am an escape artist and can break out of any fence or kennel. A fenced yard would be ideal, but I know that once I know I have a place to call home and will be loved and cared for, I will want to stay around !   I'm not talkative, don't bark much but will if she's crated and needs to go out. I can be a bit bossy and wants to be the one that calls the shots. I'm very attentive and smart, so I would love to go to school!!  I love kids and have been around cats and dont really mind them.  I am a PERFECT passenger in the car and love to go for car rides.  I do have some separation anxiety - not horrible, but do love to be with my people.  

My ideal home would be one in which I would receive LOTS of attention. I was not given alot of love in my previous life, so I need to warm up to you and learn that hugs, kisses and snuggling is a good thing.  I enjoy walks but will run if not trained.  I have not gone to school and would love to - or at least someone to work with me and teach me manners.  I will be traveling to WI on Feb 19.
