Hello! I am Cara. I was rescued from a high kill shelter in Georgia. No one knows this shelter is there - it is set in a backwoods an visitors or the general public are not allowed. A board member from Purr-fect Match Animal Rescue saw my picture and wanted to help, so they sent a foster to come and get me. They were not allowed inside and I, along with 2 other black dogs, were brought outside so they could choose which one we wanted.. Well - we took all 3!!
I am very puppy like, very playful, quite rambunctious, has a bit of ADD I think (LOL) but a sweet girl who loves to be paid attention to. The more petting and hugging the better. I walk well on a leash. I could use some work on housetraining, but I am crate trained and no issue there. I have chewed up a few beds but won't chew a blanket or sheets. I do like to chase things, and I am VERY vocal and quite bossy. I do get along with other dogs but only if I can be in charge - so I would be best with a submissive type dog. I am good with children - I have not been cat tested, but since I chase things, I may not do well with a cat. I could use some training - basic obedience training is a must for me. I have a lot of energy and would do well with a yard so I can run that energy off! A fenced yard would be nice for me too. I will dig holes. I do "ok" riding in a car but I do jump around - front, back, front, back, because there is so much to see!
I will arrive Feb 19, 2017 and will be in a foster home in WI.
The best way to meet me is to complete a non-binding application at our website http://purrfectmatch.rescuegroups.org/ . Thank you for choosing to adopt!
