Rangeline was found by my brother-in-law while he was plowing snow on one of the coldest days in December. She was found sitting in the middle of Rangeline Road in the town of Sheboygan Falls. She would not get off of the road even when my brother-in-law stopped right in front of her.

When we found her she was starving, matted, and freezing. We were able to warm her up and get her to eat some food. We contacted the humane society to see if anyone had reported missing a cat that looked like her and no one had. We then took her to Cedar Grove Veterinary Clinic to check and see if she had a microchip and she did not have one. We also tested her for Feline Leukemia, which came back negative. When we first took her to the vet clinic she weighed 6 pounds and now she is up to 14 pounds which is about a pound over her ideal weight.

Rangeline is already spayed and loves dogs. While she has not spent a lot of time with other cats in the last few months she seems to be willing to be around them and would probably do well in a household with another cat as long as she is introduced correctly. Rangeline also shows no interest in being outside.

She has an independent personality, but loves to lay on laps as long as it is her decision. Rangeline will play with toys, and seems to enjoy catnip. Her favorite toys have feathers on them. As a long-haired cat, it is good that she enjoys being combed...at least for a little while!
