I am Mandy, a very sweet and petite gal.  I had a rough upbringing.  I was raised in a dog fighting circle and would be bred for my puppies.  The puppies sadly were used for bait in the fighting ring.  I was saved when the ring was busted.  I was sent to a shelter and gave birth to one puppy.  That puppy passed on and I was sent back to the shelter.  I was told that I had heartworm which meant that the only way for me to be adopted was by a rescue group.  I was so scared because it is expensive to treat for heartworm and I was in a high kill shelter.  Luckily, Purr-fect Match called and said they wanted me in Wisconsin !  Someone wanted ME!!  I was so happy and to be sure I was safe, I was whisked away and driven to a safe kennel for my treatment.  A very sweet person, named Christine, drove me and she said she could feel the tension leave my body as we drove away from the shelter.  I finally was able to relax and I laid my head on her lap as we drove 2 hours.  I went to another kennel, but this one felt happier.  I have been taking my medicine and I arrived in Wisconsin.

I have been working with a trainer who is very impressed by me.  I LOVE kids and I am good with non dominant dogs and older, respectful kids.  Male dogs must be neutered for me to get along with them. I will chase cats, so a home without them would be best.   I am housebroken, I give kisses and will cuddle with you.  I listen well and am a very sweet girl and I know there is a home for me. I would do best in a home that knows my breed and will take me for regular walks or daily exercise.  I need a job to do and am eager to do it!   I am also crate trained.  I am very patient to find the right home, but I am getting sad.. please don't forget about me.
