Yabba, dabba doo!  I am Yogi and glad to meet you!

Hi there I am Yogi!  I am a sweet and gentle shy little guy.  I get along with people of all ages and I love other dogs.   Where I am staying we don’t have any cats, but I can’t see myself having any issues with them,  I just love everyone.  If they aren’t sure about me, I just let them be and go find my own space.

Boy do I love to get pet and snuggle up alongside my foster mom.  I came from a place where I didn’t get very much attention so I don’t really know how to ask for it, I never expect it either, so sometimes it startles me until I realize you are showing me kindness.  My foster mom says I have the sweetest eyes and that they show so much gentleness and love.   

I like to play with my two big foster K9 brothers by grabbing their back legs.  They aren’t real sure what to do with that, so they sit on me and that just gets me riled up and want to play some more.  My foster mom just laughs at us.  

I love to eat.. anything!  Though I am a small breed, I am over weight.  I am on some weight management food that tastes really good.  I think I have even lost a few pounds already!   Because of my weight I don’t like to go for any long walks, my back legs give me some trouble when I walk too much.  My foster mom says as soon as some of the weight is gone I will be running around like I should be and will enjoy getting out for walks again.  I would love to meet you..and pay you back with unconditional loyalty and love.   

I am a happy boy that was surrendered to a high kill shelter because my owner, a sweet old lady was put into a nursing home.  She took good care of us, but she had lots of dogs.  When she became sick, her family couldn't keep all of us.  Sadly, I ended up with heartworm so I was really scared.  I was lucky to have a group say they wanted me!
