I'm Rocky, a gentle, male Carolina dog mix.  I had a home was taken care of with nice beds and nice owners.  I was given a chip, was vetted, I don't know what I did that they had to get rid of me.  I saw a doggie doctor who was sad when he said I have heartworm.  I don't know what that means, but it doesn't sound good.  I found out I am was in a high kill shelter in SC and the only way out for a heartworm dog is with a 501c3 rescue.  Well, my lucky day came when I was taken to another kennel for treatment.  This place is nicer than the last place.  I was taken to the vet for a shot they said was for heartworm when I heard this nice lady say that the 501c3 rescue is closing and they can't take me anymore.  I guess I am homeless... again.

I got my treatment and went back to the kennel.  What is going to happen to me?  Where will I go?   I had no one.....

I had to back to the vet for my final treatment and the nice lady was smiling.  She told me that another rescue came in to help me.  They are in Wisconsin !!  I had no clue where that is, but if she is happy, it must be good! 

So, I heard around the Bark-bowl that Wisconsin is a cool place where they are Badger Fans and Packers Fans!  Wow, I hope I can be a FAN too !  

I am a solid, strong dog that wants to be near my family.  I am housebroken and learn quickly, but I would like to go to school so I can be really smart!  I walk great on a leash.  I can play rough sometimes, so I would be best with older kids so I don't knock them over by mistake.  I am crate trained and will bark I am left outside too long.  I don't like being tied to a rope, so I would like to have a fenced yard so I can run and play.  I like some dogs, but would love to be spoiled as an only dog. I would like a feline-free home. I am such a sweet, snuggly boy that gives kisses and hugs. 

I am was adopted but my owner fell and hurt herself.  She cant take care of me anymore because I am too strong for her.  She is very sad about this but wants to be sure I find a good home.  I am really a nice boy and just want a forever home.  Could it be with you?
