Hello !!!  I am Jack... Jack Daniels - or Jack - Jack as my human mom calls me.  Nice to meet you !  I was found as a stray on Whiskey Road in SC.   I know basic commands and am  housebroken!    Sadly, when I was found, I tested positive for heartworm.  I was pretty scared because the only way out of this kennel for a heartworm positive dog is with a 501c3 rescue.  No one wanted me.  I don't know why???  I am smart!  I am cute!  I know tricks!  Nope, no one came to take me. 

I went through heartworm treatment and am now negative - boy is that a relief!

I arrived in Wisconsin after a long 2 days of car riding.  I LIKE riding in the car and I normally jump right in!  When I got here, I put my nose up to the sky so I can smell FREEDOM !  I am free and safe!  I love my bed - I stretch out on it as if to enjoy every inch of its softness!  I LOVE squeak toys.  They are sooo much fun.  I play with them and if you throw them I will retrieve them -  I am working on dropping them, but they are just so squishy I don't want to give them up!  I do sometimes chew them apart to get the squeaker out.

I would love to be an only dog beacuse I want ALL of your attention.  I  do like to play with other dogs, but I am a strong dog and can play sorta rough, but I don't mean to hurt anyone.  I don't know my own strength sometimes! 

I walk great on a leash, I listen, I know commands such as come/here, sit and down.  I really like having a bed or super soft blanket to lie on.  I am crate trained and house trained. - but I rarely use my crate.  A feline-free house would be best. A house with older kids would be best too.  I don't jump up, but I can play rough so I might knock small children over.  I have a soft mouth to take treats.  I went to school and do like it - I like to meet other dogs hoping they will play with me!  I hope I can continue to go to school because I am very smart so I know we can learn a lot together!  A fenced area would be best so I can move freely and still keep me safe.

I need a leader who will work with me and make me be the best dog I can be.  I am still a bit scared of folks, so I need time to get to know you.  I will love you unconditionally and I will be your best friend - so if you can give me patience, I won't disappoint you - I will be your best friend - Forever.
